Funny thing is that the marks display as “” on the editor window, but they display as guillemets on the live site.
It’s really strange, maybe coming from some hidden and/or forgotten language setting, as you said. It’s happening quite randomly on other posts. You can see that here too : http://playpause.fr/2009/04/18/je-se-souviens-im-remember/
