In reply to: [WooCommerce] ?my aff ToS don’t say anything that may be affexted by this, but for me i will be keeping the older file as i like the user to be able to see where they are clicking

In reply to: [WooCommerce] ?good points… i wonder what the reason for the change was and if the devs agree it may not be an ideal update for many of us?!
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WooCommerce] ?yep, just put up the old external.php file now and will wait for an update.
seeing as this link type is external/affiliate product it should probably open up in a new tab by default rather than having to edit this file to include “_blank”

In reply to: [WooCommerce] ?@irongenetics96 i thought i was going crazy… spent all day trying to figure this one out!
there is also an issue in that now the links are wrapped up in a form, if any external links are http rather than https you get a non secure warning in the browser which doesnt happen with the old version of external.php
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WooCommerce] ?p.s. downloaded from 3.1 and replaced the external.php file and links are working as they should now…. still would like to know what caused the issue tho if you have any ideas?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] ?thanks. do you know why this file was updated the way it was so i can understand what risk i may take by using the old file?
thanks
