Thank you for responding.
Now that I have a better picture, I will install and test this plugin. I have a project in mind and will contact you on your site to discuss anything extra I might be thinking of.
I really appreciate you clearing that up for me.

In reply to: [WPMU Database Reset] Deleted My SiteAlways back up your website before making significant changes. Just in case something like this happens. Not all plugins are adequately tested before being added to ww.wp.xz.cn repository. This is a good example of that.
This kind of bug or oversight should have been checked for.
I agree, this thread should be helpful in a number of ways. Thanks for bringing it up Vaidookas.
I’m glad to see this is being resolved. I will bow out. Good information though.
Hi @vaidookas,
Wp Symposium Toolbar has a tab for “Share” which helps to add the following “LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, StumbleUpon, RSS Feed and Mail To” to the toolbar either on the left or on the right.
It also allows for some styling of those icons. There isn’t a need to add via custom menu for those icons. And there is no text added.
The link shared can be “The site homepage”, “The current page if it shows a single post, the homepage otherwise”, and “The current page, whichever it is”.
Is that what you are looking for?

In reply to: [Ultimate Gallery Master] Very AnnoyingBTW, I also do not like the spammy content you place in the sidebar widgets of the custom post type creator. I consider that to be nagging and actually (IN MY OPINION) a violation of the plugin guidelines “Any form of “nagging” is absolutely prohibited”.
According to my interpretation of the rules, your promotional rhetoric (in your widget in the custom post type creator) for your Pro version should be able to be dismissed. Your nag widget for reviews (in your bold widget in the custom post type creator) shouldn’t be there. And the fact that those two widgets cannot be removed without hacking your plugin makes the entire process very annoying.
Yes, I do believe my three star review is generous. That completes my review.
I will be happy to revisit the topic if you change the things I base my review upon.

In reply to: [Ultimate Gallery Master] Very AnnoyingActually @webhunt Infotech,
I believe my review is generous. You have made a plugin that generates a custom post type that generates a link going nowhere. That can be confusing and even frustrating to the average user.
If you are going to create a custom post type for your galleries you should have that generated link provide at least a preview. Creating things (links) that are nothing more than a useless link isn’t what I could consider a plugin worthy of more than a thee star review.
Make that link a preview for the average user and I will consider changing my review.
Please keep in mind, when I read the rules for plugins and those rules say “fully-functional”, I expect full functionality. While it might be a stretch given the context of that quote, links that do not work or go anywhere do not equate to fully-funtional for me.
Thanks for responding.

Again, thanks.

I will use the contact form at your site to extend this conversation. I would rather these sites not be publicly mentioned yet.

In reply to: [MediaPress] Too Many Redirects.Wordfence is the only site “protection” plugin.
One is on a multisite configuration. It is activated only on one subsite.
The second is on a single site configuration.
The single site works with Cloudflare with flex SSL. And it uses a Flex SSL plugin.
The error occurs from the page containing the shortcode. As soon as I click on an image in the gallery, it takes a while and then it gives the error. This happens on both sites identically.
When I talk about WordPress Multisite configuration. I talk of the WordPress Multisite configuration. That is without third party plugins which enable domain mapping. There is a significant difference between the two.
I realize the complications of multi-network plugins and domain mapping plugins. That is customization of multisite and is not what WordPress default types of Multisite are.
So, you are talking about multiple WordPress sites vs WordPress Multisite. Multisite is contained on one domain. It is a configuration of one site which dynamically creates multiple sites via db manipulation. Very different from your example.
One way many developers get over their fear of people using their plugins and themes on configurations which involve multiple websites is to require the plugin or theme to be used on one domain if it is to support WordPress Multisite. That’s about all I have to say on that.
Making a distinction in your mind and in practice between what you described and what default WordPress Multisite is would probably help with your concerns about those conflicts.
Hi vamonos and RobbyMcCullough,
So, since you have chosen to converse in my review, I find it interesting that the logic being used here is based on the presumption that multisite users are not beginners or hobbyists. Therefore, (I must make some of my own “educated assumptions”) the developers of this plugin believe multisite compatibility should be charged for because, if a website builder (developer) isn’t a novice they should pay for the resources they use.
I would call your attention to the fact that many plugin and theme developers use a model that promotes both free and paid support rather than to over charge for what many people believe should be reasonable and more often free code. (Not necessarily my point of view).
It troubles me when I see someone take advantage of users of a configuration which is becoming more widely known in this “Free” platform of WordPress, which is called “multisite”.
I have to tell you, I didn’t begin with multisite as an experienced or professional user of WordPress. I was, at the time a novice (a few years ago). My problem was, I just got tired of poorly coded plugins that created conflicts if they ran under the same site configuration with other plugins. After some time of learning about multisite, I chose to use it more often than not for multiple reasons.
The choice to require a large investment in a single plugin to run it in the multisite environment is (in my opinion) the choice to scalp WordPress users. And that is an opinion shared by a number of people.
Having said all of that, I have chosen not to use this plugin because of the logic used by these developers. And there is the fact that a free plugin hosted here on ww.wp.xz.cn does just fine with multisite.
I don’t make it a practice of giving links to other plugins, but anyone doing a search for page builders or similar keywords will take them to multiple options. And some of them are completely free.
And, please, if you have a review about this plugin (the free version) please take the time to start one of your own. Okay, vamonos?

In reply to: [GeneratePress] Great theme and supportI like structure. You have laid out from the ground up, a nicely structured foundation for this theme with the website (easy to navigate), knowledgebase and support. You don’t hype things that aren’t in the free theme as though they are.
I find the theme trouble free based on what I have used it for in multiple projects.
Everything is straight forward and pretty easy to find. If there is a question, you are quick to respond to queries.
I give what I believe is an accurate and worthwhile review. You would see that in my profile. I would be remiss to give anything but an excellent review on this theme and the effort you have made to help those who choose to use it.
And you are welcome.
