Hello @wfpeter and thanks for that very helpful steer.
Following your guidance, I do get an entry on Live Traffic and have done “ADD PARAM TO FIREWALL ALLOWLIST”. This does then allow the form to be saved with the offending text in place. I’ve than set Wordfence to be in learning mode and populated ALL multi-line form fields with the offending text. This has created multiple allowlist rules – see here.
I recorded the process in a screencast here.
So we now have a process to troubleshoot this issue should it arise again, but do you think this will prevent such scenarios from recurring in the future, or is it specific to the text being entered into the form fields?
How long do you recommend we leave WF in Learning Mode (currently to Feb 24th), considering the form only gets on or two submissions a month?- This reply was modified 5 months ago by dozza.
I can, and have!

In that case, please accept my apologies for defaming your team’s efforts. I was only going on the information presented and your AI Bot, which wasn’t too helpful.
If I could change the start rating I would. Thanks for the response and deeper insight.Forum: Plugins

I do have 2 shipping zones configured, which i assume you mean by ‘shipping options’ or ‘shipping Method’? – I don’t see reference to your ‘words’ within Woo Settings – apologies for being pedantic.
But you’re absolutely right – all this site’s ‘products’ are ‘Simple > Virtual’, such as hire fees and donations. I hadn’t though this through clearly – I was wondering why they hadn’t had any customer complaints for the last 6 years. Thanks for easing my panic.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] Fatal Error type E-ERROROK. I was worried about WooCommerc being greyed-out but now notice that ”Note: this plugin cannot be deactivated or deleted until the plugins that require it are deactivated or deleted.” – so that explains it.

In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] Fatal Error type E-ERRORHi.
The same issue just happened again at 9:15pm tonight in UK. The client told me she saw a Fatal Error alert in back end. I’ve had the ‘Site expereincing Technical issue’ email as follows (previously it was with Mailchimp for WooCommerce (version 4.1)):

I’ve just checked the site and can see that WooCommerce is still installed and active, but that the plugin can’t be selected with checkbox or deactivated on plugin screen (both are greyed out). What might this signify?I note that your plugin has auto updated to v4.2.1 when I just checked.

In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] Fatal Error type E-ERRORI can confirm that WooCommerce had become uninstalled. We had assumed it was caused by the error with your plugin. But it looks like maybe it was the other way around.
We have no idea why WooCommerce became unavailable. The plug folder was still on the server, but not displayed in available plugins.
We had to revert the site to a backup and all is ticking along OK now.
Thanks. I take it we simply add the code to functions.php in child theme?
Yep – just emailed you.
Apologies, i just haven’t had time to implement your suggestion yet but will do hopefully soon
Thats positive. And will they both be able to make edits to a page post-publishing?
@contactjavas – I’ve just checked a few of my site login screens and yes, the issue/conflict appears to have been rectified. Thanks if you were involved in addressing the issue.
OK, i hear you. Your negative review is still up here though, so democracy reigns! Regarding the add-ons, I think they give a good explanation to their business model for these above. I’ve been using 5 years and only use 4 add-ons as that fits the client’s business needs.
I would have read up and done pre-sales enquiries to establish that before purchasing and then inform the client of the expected costs….
@webtoffee – that’s working again now. Thanks for the patch/filter.
