A quick update – as the issue is getting out of hand, I had to disable new user registrations.

I really have no idea how to proceed so I hope to hear from you soon.

Thank you for the response.

Disabling Jetpack fixed the issue, however I needed to turn it back on as I have no alternative at this point. I got in touch with their support but got, I assume, an AI response referring me back to a theme-related issue.

So I’m kind of stuck here and I’d appreciate any suggestions you might have. And I’m totally lost as to why it works in the side bar and not as part of a page. (Sorry, I had to remove the widget from the main page until we get this resolved.)
