I was experiencing the same problem. To resolve, I updated to the latest version of the Yoast SEO plugin and then the Yoast -> AMP functionality began working.

I also had the same problem and once I updated the Yoast SEO plugin to the most current version, the AMP tabs started working. I hope this helps.
