In reply to: change banner sizeIn case I wasn’t clear.
What I mean is that I know how to change the jpg size but not how to change the display size.
I reduced the height of the banner.jpg but it’s still displaying the same height.
There is a BlockHeader.png which I imagine is being tiled; but I don’t know how to change that.
Merry Christmas and Happy Hanuka!
Thanks
Jane

In reply to: exit fullscreen, save enter titleI thought that I was missing something obvious here, but apparently not.
Enter what, “title”?

In reply to: Error 404 – Not Found – on a page that existsThere wasn’t anything with the same name in the trash, but thanks for the suggestion.
After playing around with mysql for 20 minutes and not getting any joy, I finally deleted the post after copying everything and then just re-did the post. and changed the date to the original one.
Now the link works!
Maybe the ! in the title caused a problem but I’m sure plenty of titles end with an exclamation mark.

In reply to: Error 404 – Not Found – on a page that existsWell the post loads now.
Changing the permalink didn’t help but changing the title did.
Of course none of my old links to it will work anymore because it’s now called http://www.ourchangingglobe.com/its-obamas-economy-now/
If anybody knows what went wrong then please let me know.
So that neither I or others will have to spend half an hour trying all different things and may not have to lose all the links.

In reply to: Error 404 – Not Found – on a page that existsThis works:
http://www.ourchangingglobe.com/obama-owns-the-economy!/
with the exclamation mark at the end of the URL.
Going to try playing with the permalink now.

In reply to: Error 404 – Not Found – on a page that existsThanks.
But how can I get the post to display when it’s published.
I will try changing the page name and then change it back again.

In reply to: comments not displaying on pagesHi esmi 🙂
You’re still here/there helping us no-nothings?
Well done!
Custom templates?
These are templates that exist in OCG – ourchangingglobe
http://i52.tinypic.com/112h9vr.png
And these for misconce – misconceptions
http://i54.tinypic.com/2r2riwi.png
If you mean templates that I might have modified then I’d have to check each one against the original, which would be possible.
Maybe the bigger question is, “Do I want or need a page?”.
I only thought about having a page recently, but right now my last post and the latest page are the same, with the exception of the title and one having the ability to post comments to and the other not.
My idea was to have my latest blog showing as a page and to then copy and post it into a blog when I add a new page.
What are your thoughts on this?
Thanks,
Jane

Not in either of them.
My ourchangingglobe.com page.php is here
And the misconceptions one is here
Please tell me where to add the additional lines; politely of course 😉

In reply to: How to reduce some font sizeI will look into the styling, thank you.
But take a look at this.

You might want to turn off the Norton function that checks websites.
It probably warns against many many websites that are problem free,

In reply to: Norton Safe Web says sites are unsafeThanks, that’s good news.
I’ve been fighting this for months.
It may be because I asked for the sites to be rechecked just before I posted here, and gave good reasons why.
You saw the responses that I got just a few hours ago.
The Norton program is terrible and needs to be scrapped.
It’s totally automated.
I’m sure that I’m just I’m one of millions that are losing visitors because of false positives.

In reply to: How to reduce some font sizeThanks.
http://www.ourchangingglobe.com/the-collapse-of-solyndra-spells-trouble-for-obama/
I tried <p style=”font-size:8pt;”> which resizes the font, but the lines need to be much closer together.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jane
