In reply to: New unauthorized admin accounts created in backend dailyI don’t use Wordfence. I asking about possible WordPress vulnerability that allows hackers to exploit the Forget password feature in order to do the password reset (only for them) and then create new admins.
Also, my host ran maldet scan and the site is clean!
Thank you!

In reply to: New unauthorized admin accounts created in backend dailyYes, I know about this guide and once again, my site is very clean and well protected.
My question was about a possible new exploit or a URL hack that allows hackers to request a password reset and create a new admin in the dashboard.

In reply to: [Cryptex | E-Mail Address Protection] Doesn’t protect emailsI have no idea where that `a href=”mailto:” came from, must be created for the theme but I removed it.
As of the opening question. I wanted to have the email links in this format:
`[cryptex href=”mailto:[email protected]”]Click to email[/cryptex]
and it was not working.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Cryptex | E-Mail Address Protection] Doesn’t protect emailsAndi, I’m not clear what is the issue with the footer. I don’t see it. And therefore I’m not sure what you want me to remove and add and where…
Thx.

In reply to: [Cryptex | E-Mail Address Protection] Doesn’t protect emailsHi Andi,
I don’t think Autodetect works.
I ended up using this format: [email][email protected][/email]
If I use [cryptex href=”mailto:[email protected]”]Click to email[/cryptex] or [email href=”mailto:[email protected]”]Click to email[/email] the emaails are visible in the page source.
You can see here at the bottom: see this page
or take a look around other pages
Thanks!
Yup! That did the trick! Tried in on my mobile on my mobile network and it worked thanks!
Can somebody please advise how to insert this code snippet into CF7? Globally or individually?

In reply to: /updates//updates.html was not found on this server in wp adminThis is a premium theme called ElegantBiz2. I sent the message to developers asking for re-download as they migrated to the new site now and I don’t have access to the downloads anymore. Maybe the theme got corrupted somehow… but it worked to more than 4 years just fine

In reply to: /updates//updates.html was not found on this server in wp adminOk, Reg the plugins this is the first thing I did and always to try to deactivate them all to see if there’s it any conflict with the theme. So that did not do anything. But deactivating the theme did the trick and the error was gone.
So, I’m not sure what is causing it. It is a theme that I built the site with several years ago and it is a good paid theme. Never had any problems with it.
So what is this error may be coming from in the theme then?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: /updates//updates.html was not found on this server in wp adminThank you for the reply, James.
I actually have Shield plugin running on my site that does scans automatically. I did run couple more thought again and the site appears to be clean.
I also ran it thru those online site check tools from the guide and no issues found. I, however, keep seeing that error on all the WP dashboard pages.Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [WordPress eCommerce - ScottCart] What is this plugin?Jan, you deleted the thread where the developer actually was doing some useful support!.. Why? Didn’t you see it there?
Scott, since the other thread was deleted I need the ask this again here: what is the difference between the Easy Digital Downloads plugin and the Paypal Digital Downloads plugin? Thank you!

In reply to: [WordPress eCommerce - ScottCart] What is this plugin?Well, is this case I’m even more confused because you’re right there is a no documentation on this plugin.
So, what does this plugin do? I don’t see any settings there besides Yes and No options, e.g. Tax – Yes/No
What does it do? Does it build the online store? Product pages? Where are the Buy buttons? Etc. What do I do with this plugin? What do I use it for? Have no idea so far…
