Sorry, forgot to mention, the issue was seen on version 6.0.2
WordPress version is 6.9.4Hello Patrick,
Thank you for your reply.
The email was received on the 6th at 00:02 AM CST. The current date on the MMDV file is the 7th at 2:41 AM, so I assume the previous file was overwritten.
I believe the issue might have been related to Cloudflare. The SSL configuration was changed on the 5th, and on the 6th, I received an alert indicating that the site was down due to too many redirects. To resolve this, I reverted to the previous SSL configuration, and the site came back online.
After generating a new license and configuring it on the website (6th afternoon), the issue has not reoccurred, so I believe it is now resolved.
Best regards,
Ernest

Sorry again for the delay; it’s this time of the year with so much work.
Regarding the issue, the connections have decreased a bit—I’m not sure if it’s due to the changes you’ve made—but they remain above 1,600 throughout the day. The main concern isn’t about storing the backup of the posts on your side (even if we don’t use it); it’s more about the connections being made, especially when editors are working on the posts. The goal is to keep the load as low as possible since attacks and bots (both good and bad) are already more than enough—being a news site and all.
Given the adjustments you’ve already made, including attempts to disable sync, I think for now we can leave the matter as it is.
I really appreciate your time and effort dedicated to this support.
Apologies for the delay, and thank you for following up.
It’s likely both issues were related to recent plugin or theme updates, as everything had been working fine for quite some time (even with Cloudflare).
I’ll try your suggestions and get back to you.
Thank you again!
Apologies for the delay, and thank you for following up. The issue is that, as a news site with 150 to 200 posts per day, I feel these additional connections are unnecessary on top of the usual traffic. We need to account for this, along with regular usage, spikes from bots (both good and bad), etc., which consume the server’s resources.
Hello, here it is the image of the blank screen (after clicking on Settings)
https://justpaste.it/hn89dSorry but you know what @bizanimesh, I’m seeing again the connections, probably because the editors finished early yesterday night and begun late today 🙁
https://justpaste.it/gip7zThank you @bizanimesh,
It seems to have worked: https://justpaste.it/h2nkn
I’ll keep it this way to avoid these connections. Do you have any other recommendations?
Thank you again, and thanks to everyone who participated, for taking the time to help resolve this issue!
ErnestHello, thank you for your response.
Here is a post with a gallery:

After further investigation, I gathered the following information: The editors mentioned that this issue occurred on their desktop PCs. They provided videos and images, which I’ve attached for your reference. However, I couldn’t replicate the problem on my MacBook Air.
It seems that the issue started on Monday.Thank you

http://publish88.com/demos/gallery-error.mp4Hello, I waited a day to monitor the results. However, even with the code snippet implemented, I’m still seeing approximately 2,000 connections per day.
Hi, sorry about that.
I was out of the office so I couldn’t try with the snippet, but I ill do it today and let you know.thank you for the follow up!
Hello again,
Thank you for your reply!
I placed the filter at the end of the functions.php file, located in the /themes/template_name/ path. Here’s the code: https://justpaste.it/e1nwr.
Should it be placed somewhere else, or is this correct?
Thank you once again for your help and for taking the time to look into this!
Ok, thank you !
Hello @lastsplash, thank you for the follow up.
I’m still seeing the same number of requests even after adding the instruction. (https://justpaste.it/h35wz). It occurred to me that I could simply block them via Cloudflare. Could this help? Thank you!
hello, thank you! those are still active, let me remove them and add this one, thank you!!
