In reply to: [GeneratePress] Decrese space above and below logoYep, that did it.
Thank you!! You just got yourself a coffee. 😉Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [GeneratePress] Decrese space above and below logoThank you, Tom. I tried what you suggested. The footer is still too far below the body.
It’s not just me saying that — I had my site reviewed by two colleagues and both said to move the footer up so people don’t have to scroll down to see the recommendations.
Sure, I could shorten the body, but that’s not the point… It’ll still look odd.
Is there any more to be done?
Thanks again!

In reply to: [GeneratePress] Decrese space above and below logoThanks – it’s here:

In reply to: [GeneratePress] Decrese space above and below logoAh. Well in the meantime I already downloaded and installed Simple Custom CSS, which you had recommended in another place a long time ago. I should have known you’d come up with your own. 😉
So what code would I use, would you be willing to tell me that? I tried this, but it simply added MORE space between the body and the footer.
.site-footer { padding-top: 14px; }Thank you, Tom!

In reply to: [GeneratePress] Decrese space above and below logoI’d like to do ths same thing. But I can’t find it in the Customizer. Could you explain how to access it? I’m a little nervous about editing the CSS directly….

In reply to: Importing existing html filesI want the same info. Did you ever find it? This has got to be a common task that new users want to do!
Thanks

In reply to: Importing Content and ChronologyHi, I need to do exactly the same thing. I started blogging in 1999 and would like to have the old content on my new WordPress blog. Did you ever figure out how to load the old content without messing up the chronology? Like by back-dating the entries?
Thanks!
