So the PS helped a lot. Originally, I wasn’t able to upload any .doc or .xls documents in my multi-site installation– I was getting this error: Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons. After researching that issue, I found a plugin (AP Extended Mime Types) that made it possible to upload these file types. THEN, the shortcode [dg] worked for this plugin. Hope this helps someone else. Arrows just keep spinning. I just redirected tat URL. * error when clicking on link in email remains.
