In reply to: [Private groups] New Member not automatically assigned groupWhen they register, they are taken to a PMPro “membership levels” page where they select which level they want. I have two levels, BASIC, which is free, and PREMIUM, which requires a payment.
In bbp private groups, I have assigned BASIC to group 1, PREMIUM to group 2, and not logged in to group 3.
What’s happening now is that when a person registers for membership level PREMIUM (group 2), they are not able to access the things that I’ve assigned to that group. It was working before, but stopped.

In reply to: [Private groups] New Member not automatically assigned groupNo, each level doesn’t have a role. I can assign each new subscriber to group one (basic) but that’s not really the issue. Although, a quick question about that: if I assign group one to subscribers when they register, does that mean that all subscribers will be group one even if they registered as group 2 subscribers?
The problem is that when subscribers choose to upgrade to Premium (group 2), the groups plugin is not recognizing that they are now allowed the permissions of group 2.
