 * Thank you [@takayukister](https://wordpress.org/support/users/takayukister/)
   and [@raytan12](https://wordpress.org/support/users/raytan12/) for your responses.
I simply haven’t had the ability to look at this in the past month.
 * The theme is Sydney. The installed and active plugins are:
    - Akismet
    - Contact Form 7
    - Flamingo
    - Lite Speed Cache
    - Map Block for Google Maps
    - Mesmerize Companion
    - PageLayer
    - PopularFX Website Templates
    - Styled Calendar (recently installed, so not the cause of the issue)
    - WP Mail SMTP
    - WP User Manager
    - WPForms Lite
    - WPS Hide Login
 * I had been trying to make some other customization (allow members to register
and login; add custom view only fields to their profiles so I can update information
for them to login and view). Some of the plugins may be related to that, I didn’t
keep good notes about what I was installing and trying.
 * I have gone round-and-round with the Sydney theme editor, trying to drop the
custom CSS suggested, but I just can’t get it to have any effect no matter where
   I add it.
 * I managed to poke around and find the Theme File Editor and commented out the
offending color:#fff; line. This has fixed it, but is probably a terrible way
   of handling it.
 * Thanks for any guidance you can give me, I’m working to learn WP. I’ve got a
basic handle on it, but there’s lots of nuance to pick up.
