Yes it is parallax one. I didn’t know there was a parallax zero. I’ll try this one instead. Thank you.

yet the post remains. you guys offer no damn help to anyone. You can never answer my questions. All you can ever do is point me to places I already know about. ww.wp.xz.cn offers the worse support for WordPress. I’m starting to get sick of this platform all together. If I hadn’t put so much time into learning how to use it, I would gladly give it up for something better.

And thanks for marking my other post as a duplicate you [moderated]. Just so everyone knows, my other post was about creating a mouse over image effect. This post is about removing the menu bar. This [moderated] esmi here marked it as duplicate and it was deleted. Thanks again [moderated].

Yeah you don’t know. I’ll just post this somewhere else. I’ll find the answer.

So what your saying is, I should go into my css and type: "change menu bar color to black and chance background color of drop down to grey"? It’s that easy huh? Thanks. I’ll get right on it.

K I figured it out. At first glance, that tutorial looked like wp rocket science. But when I actually studied it, it started to make sense. Thanks for your help guys. 🙂

    Case resolved.

K cool thanks. So how do I create a child theme? Sure that tutorial is deep and all that, but it pretty much tells me nothing. What EXACTLY do I have to do to make a child theme? Am I going into my file manager to do this or can I do it from the WP interface alone?

A variable can be set to true or false to act as a switch. It’s the core language of 1s and 0s that make up basic programming… in this case, true or false. Since it is being introduced in a condition, there must be some other code that sets it to true. I really can’t tell you where that code is or how to trigger it.

I’m also thinking dirname FILE is a folder or file in your directory named FILE… maybe? and again not to sound sarcastic. I have a simple understanding of programming but that sounds right to me.

That’s all I can tell you. I’m learning all this myself and you probably know more than me. I try… I try.

And it works perfectly. Too bad the awesome programmers here couldn’t answer that. Thanks to your answer, I actually understand permalinks a little more. And yeah I tried the first text you put and it worked. But instead of doing day/category, it actually replaced it with the dot so it was 04.blog. Lol nice. Like I said, I learned a little more about these permalinks and in turn, a little closer to understanding wordpress.

    Thank you for your help.

It’s funny because the comments work perfectly fine on the pages. Anything you comment to can be read. It’s only in the “blog” itself that comments don’t work. You cant even leave a comment because instead of going to mysite.com/blog/#respond, it goes to mysite.com/#respond and totally ignores the blog page. Same with trying to view a comment. mysite.com/#comment instead of mysite.com/blog/#comment. I trust that someone will help us fix this but I will continue to work on the problem on my own site and if I fix it, I will surely let you know.

Not to sound sarcastic but… isn’t it $wp_did_header? To my understanding of programming, that IS the variable.

I am using the 2010 theme. How do I fix the php? what do I look for?

    anyone know?

Thanks. That helped a lot. But now I’m curious… what is not the way to do it? Am I doing something wrong by having a website based solely on pages and only using the blog to write articles every now and then? Because I have heard something like that before. I’m just wondering because if there is a better way to do this then I will do it. I only want the best for my visitors.

Thanks again for the support. 🙂
