In reply to: New Podcast Plugin! (PodPress Replacement)I’d love to see:
1- Podpress that works with current version of WordPress
2- Full stats supported, hosted by user, not remote (this is why I haven’t switched to blubrry’s podcasting plugin.)
3- Keep all the exsisting functionality of podpress
4- Support for podcast advertising (podtrac stats, blubrry)
5- Would it be impossible to insert ads into the mp3 file automatically?

In reply to: Any chance of the “Podcasting” plugin taking overWhy doesn’t someone just take over the functionality of podpress and charge money for it? I think there’s obviously a demand for this type of plugin and people willing to pay for it.

In reply to: Podpress and the current WPWhat about wordpress implementing all the functionality of podpress into the next version, or having everyone who uses this plug in to start a collection to hire someone to create an update. This really is getting ridiculous, and since we haven’t heard ANYTHING from Dan at Mightyseek (and that his forums are down due to spammers) my guess is that he’s abandoned the plugin and it’s users.
It’s a shame.
On the positive note, this allows other plugin developers to step up and take over this vital project. Any ideas?

In reply to: [Plugin: podPress] Leaving Podpress behind! So has podpress been updated yet? I don’t know why somebody doesn’t take over the project, since there are literally thousands of wordpress blogs that use this vital plug-in.

In reply to: [Plugin: podPress] Podcast not compatable with WP 2.6I’m worried the guy who makes the plug-in has abandoned the plattform. Any suggestions on how to upgrade to WordPress and keep on podcasting? 🙂
