I need to be able to customize all features for the select field.including background color length, width and also the drop-down feature
Sometimes the drop-down feature doesn’t respond unless you click on the right side of the arrow mark.
As shown : you have to click at that point for drop down to appear

But I’ve noted that the select button is not responding to CSS codes that I’ve placed in the appearance section
For instance I want to change border and background color for the select
