Thanks @bcworkz
Clearly I had the right idea. I decided to stick with Simple WordPress Membership, at least for now.
I tried to iron out any issues, and I think it’s working properly.
You’re quite welcome! I appreciate the support and quick response times!
Note: These images in this thread are linked to my website media folder. I’ll leave them there as long as I can so other people can see the problem and potential solution for their own reference. Those settings take effect immediately.
To clarify, that’s using the Gutenberg Block for Social Icons in a blog Post (also the same on Pages). See:

However, the block does not render correctly when trying to use it in a Widget area.

Which results in this:

So I found the workaround for my problem, but it seems that the Widget interface not rendering correctly is the larger issue overall.
For now, I’m considering this resolved for my needs, but I’m sure it’s worth further investigation on your side.I also found available in the sidebar this while building a page.
It has “Text before icons?” enabled by default.

I just downloaded the plugin, extracted the files on my computer, and searched them via Notepad.
The term “Please Share” is repeated several times under the “blocks.build.js” file.
I’m afraid that’s about the end of my knowledge and skill set, but hopefully it could be a pretty easy fix from there.

I tried something slightly different, and unchecked the “Show them via a widget” and saved the settings.
Then in my sidebar widget area, I inserted the shortcode from “Place them manually”, and it works correctly (as in, without the “Please Share” text).
That would lead me to the natural suspect of the Widget as the culprit.
Right now, it’s only showing in my Sidebar widget area:

but not in my Footer widget area:

It’s also operating correctly when used in an editing block format.
The website is a sandbox right now, but you can see for yourself at:

In reply to: [Thumb Fixer for Social Media] Simple and EffectiveYou are quite welcome! It’s well-deserved praise. I have no idea what wizardry is happening, but it works perfectly.
If you ever make it to the Tampa Bay area of Florida (US), I’ll happily provide the adult beverages.
In the meantime, I will be putting together a blog post about my experience. Hopefully, it will help someone else find your magical plug-in.
Thanks again!
And I tried downgrading WP to Buffer to version 3.0.1, and re-authenticating.
No change.
In an act of sheer frustration, I have deleted the existing Buffer Application, created a new one, and re-linked WP to Buffer.
I’m still up a creek without a paddle.
I’m in the same boat. It was working fine up until a few hours ago.
I’ve re-registered the app four times now, following your instructions.
In one of those attempts, I created a new Registered App in Buffer. I’ve deleted that one now.
Still nothing.
I’ve tried on several posts, no change.
My settings include publishing new posts and updates. I’ve double checked those every time.
All I get is the fail box at the top of the page, with it’s mysterious red vertical bar on the left and absolutely no information.
The only change on my end was a plugin installation (W3 Total Cache), which went fine, but made more problems for me than it solved, so it was deactivated and deleted.
I did get one post sent to Buffer after that, but no other posts are pushing through now.

In reply to: Home Page defaults to "/wordpress1", can't change? Thanks for the quick response Justin!
htaccess doesn’t have much.
# BEGIN WordPress <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule . /index.php [L] </IfModule> # END WordPressUnfortunately, there isn’t much for DNS information. As I just set it up, I would be very surprised to find any redirect.
I’ve searched as much as I can. I don’t think I have the ability to view the access logs on the server.

In reply to: [Optima Express IDX] Responsive Layout broken with Customizr ThemeIt looks and functions much better now.
I’m still having a small issue. On a property results page like this, the “Features” tab has a slider at the bottom, and is clipping the first letter of the section titles off.
Nitpicky on my part, but presentation matters in real estate.
Any suggestions?
