In reply to: MarsEdit is giving me a 404 when I refreshFurther information: After seeing a similar issue on another host, I’m pretty sure this is an issue with mod_security (or another filtering program – see the link I posted above). Contact your host and ask them to fix things, it’s out of your hands.

Looks like Scott’s not in a hurry to update the comments plugin, as he’s linked to another plugin that has a few more features than his did (called “Comment Timeout”).
Anywho, thanks again…am quite excited to move to WP 2.1! 🙂

Edit: Nevermind. I’ve contacted my host. It seems they’re blocking any URL that contains ‘xmlrpc’!

In reply to: How to get a Dynamic DNS Provider on Apache?A dynamic DNS address will only point people to your computer. If you want to host WordPress yourself, you’ll still need to keep Apache running.
And as long as Apache is still running, http://localhost/ will always work.
If you don’t want people connecting to your computer to visit your site, you’ll need to upload your site to a paid host, or sign up for a free account at WordPress.com.
