Hey Arcance, did you found a solution to your problem about asigning categories to pages?
I have the same problem..
I think a lot of people like myself want to have a normal site structure.
Lets say I want a real simple website with 3 webpages:
1. homepage
2. about me
3. news
Now, I want the website to open with the homepage… On the homepage I want a introduction text and a photo.. nothing special.
On the ‘about me’ webpage, I also want a text about myself (who am I, what I like, what I dislike etc.)
And finally, on the news page, I want to post news on a regular basis.
Now, I made 3 pages in WordPress.. and they appear in the side bar.
On every page I wrote a small text with an image.. so far so good.
But here comes the problem: how can I assign ‘news posts’ to the newspage? I can only assign pages to a category, not to pages 🙁
I want people to navigate by the pages menu.. I want to get rid of the category links in the sidebar.
If you found the answer for doing this please let me know because I really don’t get it 🙁
