 * Big thanks for the writeup realsupport1930. Followed it and it worked perfectly
   to copy my site to a subdomain.
 * Thanks for a absolutely great plugin Cory (and team). Back in January I did the
   whole manual move of one of my domains. Took half a day.
 * Wish I’d had Duplicator then. With the plugin it took 30 minutes to do the move!

 * If you read the question you would have noticed that the problem I am asking 
   about is the fact that that theme is not running in the correct directory and
   the effect of that. There is nothing wrong with the theme itself but rather with
   how it is being implemented by WP. The theme was working till I got is mixed 
   up in the /theme/bk folder. I messed up the original theme settings which led
   to my moving it and created the problem, but you would also have noticed that
   I RELOADED the original sans my mess with no luck.
