I just unistalled the current one and installed a new copy but it seems to look like the database files are still there. Its displaying a critical error again after a new installation

I have the same problem

Following error occurred when attempting to send test email:
SMTP connect() failed. https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer/wiki/Troubleshooting

SMTP ERROR: Failed to connect to server: (0)SMTP connect() failed. https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer/wiki/Troubleshooting

I tried using my email in the From Email Address field it did not work
i tried using the site mail and still did not work. I’m using my gmail and password correctly
