Thank you so much! It all seems to be working and I hadn’t noticed the improvements in the gallery and comments system until right now. Very nice! It’s perfect for what we’re doing.

I’ll be going pro very shortly.

I also cannot change categories and the site doesn’t show categories under the categories tab.

To upload the two folders from a fresh install, do I need to use the same version?

I did all of those besides re-installing the wp-admin and wp-includes folder. I did check to see if anything in that folder had changed, but nothing did. Here is the Error log…

For now, everything gets moderated. It notifies me through my smartphone. That was my number one concern.

Even though 4 mb files add up quickly, I’m not really worried about storage. If it becomes a problem, I’ll let it dump 12 or 6 or 3 month old posts, whatever is necessary. I’ll just let people know.

I do have a plan that will help me deal with growth, but I’ll wait for the growth before implementing the plan.

    Found it and fixed it.

    Thanks.

I resolved my problem by reverting to all of my backup .php files.

I must have gotten hacked because all of my .php were edited. Not sure what it did, but the fix was relatively easy. Maybe referred to a bunch of random websites until the server times out. No I have to go and change all of my passwords and such.

I looked back, and it appears to have effected almost all of my .php files. Each has a list of hundreds of random websites that aren’t supposed to be there.

I am running 3.0.1 or higher.

Got it working. Thanks a lot!

I followed the instructions, but now in the page I’m attempting to display the posts in, it shows my sidebar as well as other data.

Not sure what is wrong. I will leave it temporarily for troubleshooting.

Thanks for all of your time, I may not have explained it well. What I’m actually trying to do is have all of those category posts display on a certain page from the menu.

For example, when you click observing notes, I’d like to display the category observing notes. As it is now, it displays all categories.

Then I’d like to add another category, members articles. Make it a page on the top menu, and display all posts in the members articles category withing that page.

I’m sorry, I’m still unsure of something. I understand category pages and how they work and how to change the way they display. But, I’m still unsure how to show all of the results of a single category within my desired page.
How exactly do I get the category posts to show up on the desired page? I have a blank page, that shows up on my menu. Do I leave the page blank, or do I put some code in the page to call the category?

Sorry for being thick… Are category pages a plugin, or built into WP 3.0.1?

    Fixed.

Nevermind. Stupid mistake. It was below the fold of my index.php. Now I just have to get rid of it.

Hmm. Even after I manually remove it and save the file, it reappears. Still working on it.

I noticed that my index.php file was edited on 8-2. The first day I noticed the problem. The above post has everything inside the index.php file.
