 * Oh Ok, well that makes sense. Thanks for that guys, I really appreciate the help.
   Could we keep this thread open in case I have trouble setting up the child theme
   for some reason? I’d mark it as resolved once I finished everything.
 * Alternatively I could just start a new thread upon any other problems if that’s
   the better route. It’s up to you Mod.

 * Themes that were created by third parties and distributed for users like me to
   download, upload to the theme folder and make the default theme for my wordpress
   site.

 * So you’re telling me that WordPress has the power to update EVERY SINGLE CUSTOM
   THEME ever created automatically if that code you linked to is used?
 * In the past, I’ve thought maybe custom themes didn’t need a child theme, because
   I had trouble getting a child theme to work for any theme except the defaults.

 * Will WordPress automatically update the Adament theme for me?
 * I would assume that I would need to download and manually install any updates?
 * If so, why would I ever need to install an updated version of this custom theme?
