I am still having this issue and Google hasn’t worked it out as you suggested. It’s now seven weeks and the pages are still showing as ‘indexed, not submitted in site map’. I think Google must have updated because newly published pages have also been indexed. I cleared the cache at all levels and tried again, but the JS is still appearing on every page when I review GT Metrix waterfall. BUT….I need to use 7.3 in future for some affiliate plugins. It was CDN which is currently turned off. I have tried excluding using keywords like Amazon, amazon images, Amazon HTML but that does not work but none of them work.
