In reply to: Has anyone tried Fancybox for WP with 3.4.1?Sorry for the late reply as well. Looking for a reason why mine wasn’t working all roads lead to this plugin and was quick to accuse Fancybox’s compatibility. However, after some digging found out it was, in fact, another plugin conflicting with Fancybox’s functionality. Both worked nicely prior to the upgrade.
Please disregard my previous comment. Fancybox is working nicely with 3.4.1. Feel free to use it with confidence.

In reply to: Has anyone tried Fancybox for WP with 3.4.1?Just updated to 3.4.1 and it broke Fancybox for WP 3.0.1. Cannot figure out a fix. I would be hesitant to use this plugin. I even had a PHP expert look into it. I am stuck looking for an alternative.
Did you see this claim stated anywhere or assume this since it is not on their site?
Yes Zack, I concur this is a perfect (and simplest) solution.
I used this throughout a portfolio site. I did find some occurrences where I would either link to an external site or to an internal PDF and the tickmarks entered in the caption field turned to quotes, not immediately, but when switching from HTML view to Visual view during the work process.
This would make the link to a site be “http://thisdomain.com/”http://linkeddomain.com”
I found that using either the HTML character entities " or leaving out the tickmarks was more stable. Followed a logical workflow when applying so fairly sure I did everything correctly.
Nonetheless, this saved the day–thanks!

In reply to: Styling a link in a captionChip,
Thank you for the quick reply. I don’t know why I didn’t think of that. I was just stuck on that WP caption code and wasn’t thinking straight. It worked!

In reply to: Unable to edit pageI have discovered that the Visual Editor is removing my <p> tags from the HTML when entering new paragraphs. Is this a problem with WP? I assumed that the Visual Editor was for those who new nothing about HTML but could style in a word-processing environment and that the HTML editor was for the rest of us. If this is the case how do people use the Visual Editor if it takes out the tags. What kind of editing is the visual editor limited to.
Please someone tell me this is not drawback of WP. If it is it really isn’t a complete CMS.

In reply to: Installation on new server moving WP files links brokengovpatel,
Thank you for your response. I cannot login to either the admin nor do I have access to the database while it is on the server. I have the original .sql file which I can open in a text editor but cannot see or recognize the old domain name.
Is this something that the hosting company can change? Can I not just hand code these files–it is very small site? Unfortunately I cannot find the appropriate files to edit.
I am a designer with limited knowledge of WP but can code xHTML/CSS. I would think that this would have been a troubleshooting topic at WordPress but cannot seem to find anything about this problem.
Any additional help would be most appreciated. Thanks again.
