Hmm this may be the issue. I don’t see any themes when I open the Reader Theme dropdown. I am on the latest version of WordPress as well (5.5.1).
This is a screenshot of what I see. It looks like it gets stuck trying to load it.

Your site is not being fully served over a secure connection (using HTTPS).
As some AMP functionality requires a secure connection, you might experience degraded performance or broken components.It was okay with version 1.4.4. Are there other(updated) ways of including templates for my custom post types or is that filter still the one to go to?
