 * I’m guessing because of resourcing and how the plugin functions.
 * We’ll need a little more time to assess everything and how we could make that
   happen. I’ll get our people to add it to the list so that we can assess. 🙂
 * At the moment we’re doing a code audit and figuring everything out first, along
   with fixing any issues people report or we come across.
 * Cheers,
    Tim.

 * Hey there,
 * So this review isn’t about the free Smush plugin at all?
 * If you had any issues, we’d love to look into those and help you make the most
   out of our plugin.
 * We’re not supposed to support our premium stuff on WordPress.org, but as you
   mentioned pricing, I’d like to take a moment to address that. Our membership
   includes Super Smush to get the best out of your image compression, plus further
   site optimisation with Hummingbird, security with Defender, backups with Snapshot
   and a whole lot more. 🙂
 * Once you click on the learn more button from our home page the pricing is in
   there:
 * [http://take.ms/Nf7f4](http://take.ms/Nf7f4)
 * I’ve also taken the liberty of providing this feedback direct to our designers
   and UX team who worked on the recent update to our new site design.
 * Thank you for taking the time to get in touch, if you have any further questions
   about our membership, please feel free to drop an email to our sales team. As
   I mentioned, generally we can’t support premium stuff on here. Anyway, here is

 * I’m excited that we’re taking some bold steps to evolve WordPress, despite the
   controversy this seems to keep gaining.
 * I like the UI, it feels more modern but yet familiar and it is easy to use. Are
   there issues, sure there is, it’s software and it’s still pretty early days.
 * We’re constantly discussing internally how our own products and services are
   going to work with Gutenberg. Compatibility with a purpose and not just purely
   for the sake. It’s been something we’ve looked at since early on in the development
   process. No releases just yet, more concepts of what we might like to achieve
   with it.

 * Hey there David,
 * I’m not sure why you’re creating so many pseudonyms around the internet. The
   scale of your harassment and attacks is pretty clear this is all from one person,
   even down to the wording, you may, of course, be including your friends, family
   and follows from your Facebook page. The simple fact you keep picking on the
   same issues is also pretty evident all these accounts are you.
 * David, you refused us the opportunity to discuss your account publicly, however,
   you proceed to share a one-sided story. That’s fine.
 * Just know, it isn’t fine to contact me personally on social networks, it isn’t
   fine to contact our staff directly, what you’re doing is harassment. I’ve already
   reported this to South Yorkshire Police as your harassment and personal threat
   to bring me to my knees is not acceptable. Yorkshire is where I’m based in the
   UK, as you’re also in the UK we’ll be under British law in this matter. I’m speaking
   with a solicitor as this is a civil matter too.
 * Though I can’t discuss your account directly in public, I can discuss publicly
   available information. I’m doing that now.
 * We have publicly offered to refund your subscription in the form of a donation
   to any legitimate hospital or registered charity. You declined. Thus, I don’t
   believe this is about children at all, you’re only using this as leverage publicly
   because you think it will outrage people. It’s disturbing you would do this,
   if it were about the children you would simply tell us where we need to donate
   that money. We’d even throw in a little extra for them as well.
 * Had what you’re saying have any real grounds, you’d have taken legal channels
   on this matter, but instead, you persist to publicly attack, harass and bully
   not just the company but people working for or associated with us. This speaks
   no ends of your character rather than ours.
 * No, this is not about any children, this is about you.
 * I note you don’t share your Facebook review, this is it: [https://www.facebook.com/david.sinnott.73/activity/10156847089653222](https://www.facebook.com/david.sinnott.73/activity/10156847089653222)
 * This is how I found your company from public archives with company number: 06906359
 * Also, to confirm, your personal details are publicly listed on Companies House
   as a director, not just your business address but also home. I’ve given these
   to the police so they can easily locate you. I’ve also had everything you’ve
   done and your friends, followers, etc, it’s all documented. A company director
   cannot behave in this manner and can be struck off.
 * I’m sorry that we couldn’t come to some amicable arrangement whereby we’d have
   donated your subscription fees to a hospital or charity that would benefit from
   it. Give me that children’s hospital details, I’ll give them a call and get this
   sorted for you, as a I offered on Facebook near the start of your campaign.

 * Hey there [@simplycharly](https://wordpress.org/support/users/simplycharly/).
 * Really sorry to hear about the issues you’ve been facing.
 * We do have a QA process in place, however, due to the nature of the beast (WordPress,
   hosting environments, third party code, something we missed, etc) sometimes things
   do regrettably slip by. I’ve passed this back to QA to thoroughly test.
 * Can you let me know what theme you’re using, any plugins and a link to your site
   or sandbox site where this is happening so that we see first hand and look at
   it through developer tools. 🙂
 * > 1) Instead of text, a video appears.
 * I’d also like to know what video you see? Perhaps you can link to that happening?
 * I look forward to getting this matter resolved.
 * Cheers.

   > the past updates worked fine and I expected this one to work also shame on
   > me and every other person who relies on past performance.
 * We do out utmost to provide a smooth transition and upgrade, sadly sometimes
   things don’t always go perfectly for everyone, so many environments to host on,
   so many potential conflicts with third-party code, etc, and that’s where responsible
   web development comes in to help catch issues first. I’m not trying to deflect
   here, if we have an issue that needs fixing, that’s still on us to fix and we’ll
   do that. But when developing a website you should be taking certain precautions,
   especially if your site is your primary source of income.
 * I totally understand if you’re new to web development and managing a site, there
   is a lot to learn and that’s where this community really does shine. This community
   isn’t just made up of companies like us, it’s got some incredibly awesome people
   donating their time freely to help others. Feel free to pop open some questions
   on how others manage their staging/sandbox areas, I know there will be plenty
   happy to give their two cents 🙂
 * Here are a couple of our articles which I hope will help to avoid such issues

 * Unless you’re referring to **W**ord**P**ress.com then no, they don’t, they don’t
   require anyone to offer free or premium support. We offer both, free on here
   and premium directly through our company. FYI, **W**ord**P**ress.com and **A**
   utomattic, whilst a huge part of **W**ord**P**ress, they are a separate entity
   and not to be confused with **W**ord**P**ress.org.
 * [https://automattic.com/](https://automattic.com/)
 * They do of course contribute to the open source version of **W**ord**P**ress
   as do many individuals and companies 🙂
 * Cheers.

 * Hey there.
 * Sorry to hear about your experience, can I check first, how did the upgrade go
   in your sandbox environment?
 * I guess it’s working there if you decided to take this to a production site.
   We’d need to figure out what the difference between your sandbox and live site
   is to see what went wrong.
 * In the meantime, can you please revert your site using one of your regular and
   latest backups?
 * That will get you sorted in the interim period whilst we investigate this matter
   with you.
 * > Further wpmu has fixed the contact so non members can not get to support at

 * Erm… all free support goes through WordPress.org, that’s what these free support
   forums are for. If you’re needing premium support then, of course, you need to
   be a paid member and I guess it’s that form which you refer to on our website
   considering you managed to open three free tickets on this site. We’re not legally
   obliged to provide support, but we still do through these forums for our free
   products.
 * I’ll have our support follow up on your other two tickets shortly. 🙂

 * More personal attacks again, it’s been a year or more now, I think it’s time
   you moved on rather than continuing to post rubbish around the internet, it’s
   pretty much harassment.
 * Just to set the record straight, you opened duplicate tickets for the same issue
   and posted multiple times on one, that slows my team down and doesn’t get an
   answer any quicker. You were asked **politely** not to open multiple tickets:

 * Nothing angry there.
 * As I noted in my response to you on the following link, it wasn’t 24 hours:

 * Our first response was like 40 minutes on that ticket, the next was around 2.5
   hours after your response. If you didn’t keep bumping and adding tickets to the
   queue it might have been quicker.
 * Can we draw a line under this after all time that has passed, we can both go
   our own separate ways amicably, please?
 * I not going to keep following up here. I’ll leave it with you, I just hope we
   can move past this now.

 * The footer menu:
 *     ```
       #nav-footer.nav-container {
           background: ##33363b;
           border-top: 0;
       }

 * And for the anchor (arrow up) background:
 *     ```
       #footer-bottom #back-to-top {
           background: ##33363b;
       }
       ```
 * Bottom and top borders:
 *     ```
       .boxed #page, .page-title {
           padding-bottom: 0;
           border-bottom: 0;
       }
       ```

 * I used #33363b to match the top nav colour.
    Cheers.

 * Hey,
 * I just want to tack onto my colleague Sajid advised, with the solutions here
   you would be left with a white border, should you wish to remove that you can
   add something like:
 *     ```
       .boxed #page {
           padding-bottom: 0;
       }
       ```
 * I wish to briefly talk about the use of !important as that was a recommendation
   in this ticket, personally I’d avoid including that within CSS except where absolutely
   required to force a change. You should pretty much always be able to be more
   specific and in doing so honour the flow of cascading style sheets. It can make
   further edits a little more tricky if !important is always used with every edit.
 * To read more about specificity and the use !important you can read up here:
 * [https://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Web/CSS/Specificity#The_!important_exception](https://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Web/CSS/Specificity#The_!important_exception)
