It definitely is a caching issue and I think I have narrowed down the issue with my hosting company….we will see. Thanks for all the feedback!
Well, a Static Feed refresh did not fix the delay issue after all.
It’s weird that the delay is only happening with the ScubaRadio feed. The World of Boating and Just Plane Radio feeds appear to refresh as expected. The ScubaRadio episodes are split into HOUR1 and HOUR2 with HTML links to each hour in the description. I see this is creating a iTunes Summary warning on Feed Validator. I could easily eliminate these links and see if that might be hanging things up. However if I do, is a better way to accomplish the connection between each HOUR? Here is an example:

So it finally did update in iTunes, but this is the second week in a row where it took 5 days to do so. This only appears to happen with the ScubaRadio feed. ScubaRadio and World of Boating show “Failed Validation” on Podcasts Connect. So I can’t add or refresh them there either. Bottom line: they appear to be working, but the delay is frustrating our listeners. :-/
The feed seems to be working fine on my WordPress site and clearing the cache does update the RSS source file when I post a new episode. However, it does not appear to be updating on iTunes or other podcast directories (like Spreaker). I have logged into Podcasts Connect and it shows Just Plane Radio as one of My Podcasts (http://www.justplaneradio.com/jprpodcast.xml).
However, ScubaRadio and World of Boating do not and when I try to add them, it says “Failed validation” for http://www.scubaradio.com/srpodcast.xml
