In reply to: My website redirects to Braffic.com & Motometalrims.org ?i spent over 2 solid days on this trying to find the malicious code..i disabled all my plugins, changed themes, searched the mysql database, downloaded and searched through all the WordPress and site files using an advanced text/strong search and couldn’t find anything.
i ended up deleting the entire site and restored it from a clean backup.

any luck working out how to fix this? I am still trying, and have been at it now for over 24 hours!! Still can’t find the offending code anywhere

In reply to: My website redirects to Braffic.com & Motometalrims.org ?exactly Andrew and besides i have search for all the possible terms used in the hack and can’t find them in the DB or any of the entire wordpress sites files so it must be using encrypted code of some sort.
very nasty. i hope i find a way to fix it as my host tells me my database backup has been not working for the last week or so.

this is a nasty hack and it’s being injected somehow?

i have exactly the same problem and have tried all these suggestions slide links are still opening new windows under Chrome, Firefox and IE

i have always been talking about Event Expresso but i did try your free version and found a major problem straight away with the location not saving. However I have a festival to run, so I have integrated Evetnbrite in a few hours and am totally stoked with it, and their support.
Everyone reading this take note of what Marcus said – he is 100% correct about this..
“Now… in defense of Espresso and other plugins… if you are expecting everything in WP to always work out the box, you should use another software, because that is how open source works, most plugins are made by developers and maintained in their own spare time”
Don’t make the same mistake I have and think that ANY WordPress them or plugin will just work, trust me it won’t i have tried nearly all of them.

i’m sure you do fix some bugs and there are plenty of them going by the various forum posts.
It’s clear that the EE product is obviously under heavy development, with new features, bug fixes etc being rolled out on a regular basis from what I can see. But that is my main point, expecting customers to enrol in the development process is not ethical and the base product should work as stated. I am trying to organise a major event and the web site, booking engine is just one small part of that.
Most of your end customers would be in the same boat as me, just wanting to use a product without having lots of hassles and having to enlist in an ongoing support/request/development scenario. This is NOT what end customers want to have to go through.
It’s this kind of approach that so many internet software vendors take with their clients expecting them to go through a kind of wild ride is the very reason why the Warez community have grown so large and will eventually erode and disrupt your products markets.
My refund request claim is currently being processed with Paypal and I will be fighting for my right to a refund by any means that is possible. I will also exercise my right to let other prospective EE customers know what to expect if they use your product.
Sure you can dismiss me as a whinger and not learn anything, or you could take a long hard look and the stability and readiness of your product for a global marketplace and for end customers to use. I never read anything on the main sales site saying this product is for developers only did you ?
I just wanted to be able to install the plugin and create events with tickets to sell. If i wanted to help develop the product I would have to become a full time PHP programmer.
