As you will see there is no blockquote.I also have the ability to edit via the Theme Editor in the Appearance menu here:

But I have searched on every page and I cannot find the blockquote.Should I install a classic editor?

In reply to: Beginner help – please help me edit the codeThanks for getting back to me so quickly. The weird thing is that when I edit the page there is no quote marks and even when I click to edit the HTML the <block quote> code is not there. I have also checked the templates in the theme editor and there is nothing to show <block quote> so I don’t know how to delete even the code.
When I create a new page it automatically adds these quotes and it is a mystery to me. I have created this blank test page which is totally empty yet it still has the quotes – where are they coming from?
