It’s Ok after a column change in the table bwg_option (probably a problem during an update)
ALTER TABLE wp_bwg_option CHANGE description_tb read_metadata TINYINT( 1 ) NOT NULL DEFAULT ‘1’;

thank you for your answer but I disabled all extensions (except Photo Gallery, of course) and set wordpress theme “Twenty Fifteen”: I still have the same problem.
Have you reread the 1parkplace comments in the topic : Can’t add images to gallery ; there may be an response to the problem ?
