What image was this? I would like to add that info as well.
here is more from the tech ” I would like to inform you that there isn’t any restriction for the curl in connecting to our server from outside. The curl script should work fine until and unless there is no block from the location where you are running this script.
If you have any further questions, please update the Support Console. We would be happy to help you. ” Im not sure what to do now..
Here is what the tech at pow web stated Jeremy
“I’ve checked the error logs for your account and was unable to find any issue with the plugins. Also, all the images including http://www.happy-dayz.ca/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/New-2013-1.jpg are publicly accessible by default. I’m not sure how exactly are you trying to execute the curl script from your end due to which you are receiving the ‘403 Forbidden errror’ but, the curl script at http://happy-dayz.ca/testcurl.php used to access/display the image via URL is loading fine. Could you please get back to us with the exact steps to duplicate the issue? If you have any further questions, please update the Support Console. We would be happy to help you. “
Im not sure they understand what the jetpak plugin is trying to do..
Jeremy thank you very very much for all your help. I have sent and asked them what you requested, just waiting on a response.
Well I contacted our host again with the info and this is what they replied with
Hello,
Thank you for being patience.
I have created a new test cURL script http://happy-dayz.ca/testcurl.php which is used to get the image via URL and load it in browser, noticed that is working fine.
Please let me know how exactly that you are accessing the image http://www.happy-dayz.ca/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/New-2013-1.jpg via cURL in order to investigate further.
Thank you,
Im not sure what more info I can give them does anyone have any other ideas? The host is powweb, anyone had this problem with them?
lol that’s what I thought as well.. Well thank you for your time and I will see if I can give them a push
I have looked all over powweb’s control panel, we have no hotlinking protection on.
As for the word press I have tried removing every plugin and still same out come.
Is there any thing else that I could tell them Jeremy so sorry to bug you?
Still kinda lost not sure what to tell the web hosting… every thing worked until 3 weeks ago.
If you guys have any ideas or more info that I should be telling my web please let me know.
I gave them the info that Jeremy gave me
Hi there! Sorry for the delay in answering.
I had a look at your site, and it seems that you’ve added some image hotlinking protection that blocks Photon from caching your images.
You can reproduce the issue by querying one of the images via cURL:curl -I http://www.happy-dayz.ca/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/New-2013-1.jpg
You will receive the following error message:
HTTP/1.1 403 ForbiddenFor Photon to be able to cache these images, the images have to return a 200 message:
HTTP/1.1 200 OKIf you’re not aware of any image protection plugins or options on your site, I would suggest that you contact your hosting provider and let them know about the issue.
Let me know if it helps.
sorry for the delay in response, here is what our host is staing
Our 1st suggestion is to check the permissions of the images.
If they require 777 we do not recommend that.
Also, I appoligize but this is way out of scope for what we are able to
assist with.what info should I be giving this to help me out with this?
Here is what I get when I run Curl
C:\Users\Orillia\Downloads\curl-7.32.0-win64-nossl>curl -I http://www.happy-dayz .ca/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/New-2013-1.jpg HTTP/1.1 200 OK Date: Tue, 15 Oct 2013 15:16:17 GMT Content-Type: image/jpeg Content-Length: 291774 Connection: keep-alive Server: Apache/2 Last-Modified: Wed, 02 Oct 2013 17:34:09 GMT ETag: "212775c-473be-4e7c57a117a82" Accept-Ranges: bytes Set-Cookie: incap_ses_133_87267=XFb5SP+lLUayg2mqUoPYAUFcXVIAAAAAi65Y5INjDYRAX2Ce 0pvzQg==; path=/; Domain=.happy-dayz.ca Set-Cookie: visid_incap_87267=Z/ELD8IiQkSYYIURPUk+pkFcXVIAAAAAQUIPAAAAAAABOP/BVU jrIpxsfIaWxBMO; expires=Thu, 15 Oct 2015 07:04:27 GMT; path=/; Domain=.happy-day z.ca X-Iinfo: 5-39199404-39199408 NNNN CT(93 -1 0) RT(1381850177697 4) q(0 0 0 1) r(1 1) U6 X-CDN: IncapsulaFrom what I see I get the HTTP/1.1 200 OK, what is the next step? and thanks again for your help Jeremy.
Just an update to the issue it seems to be affecting most of our galleries new and old now!
Yes we did thank you for asking, We also tried disabling every plugin as well.
Then enabling only jetpack and the photon & mosaic gallery one at a time but the results are still the same for us.
Ah thank you very much Wpyogi I was unaware of the process since this was our 1st time asking for support..
Still looking for some help here, we are at a loss.
