I had to deactivate the plugin for my website to display correctly and to be able to log in to the back end via wp-admin. It seems that a specific plugin was going over the fixed navbar as soon as I scrolled up and the menu popped up. I have switched off the automatic updates for now, until we hear back from the theme editors that we can update the WordPress. As soon as I renamed the theme folder through FTP, it reverted to the Twenty Twenty theme, making the back-end load successfully.
