Thank you for the detailed response. You definitely helped to point me in the right direction. I started reading up on filters and actions and I think this should probably work as a plugin and short code and will help to keep things organized. I have a hook to feed in a CDN link to Alpine.js and another to register the shortcode, which is calling an html partial where I can house my search and results html/js components. I’m still testing the waters a bit but things are looking good so far. Once I get the UI looking good I’ll wire up the calls back to the API. Thanks again, the piece about the hooks was new to me and definitely seems to be the way to go.
