A couple of other errors I just noticed when logging in as a test user in buddypress:
1. The site occassionally goes null with this error message:
Error 101 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET): Unknown error.
2. Web pages occassionally stop loading for no reason
3. The join group button works, but shows recognition of a change. You can press it many times and it seemingly does nothing. I only realised I had actually joined the group when I clicked on it and the “leave group” button appeared.
The browser I’m using is google chrome, though I don’t know if that’s related.

Thanks mate, that’s exactly why it didn’t work – i was editing the general wordpress file.
I find it amazing that I can just type in the problems i’m experiencing and someone will help me fix them – cheers and what a great system!

It’s in default (i’m very new to this – 2 days in and no experience at all!).
The file path is content/ themes/ bp-default/ registration
