That message seems to indicate that there is some sort of caching implemented at some point between your server and when it reaches your browser. This will be what is causing the plugin not to work.
I don’t have any ideas on what this could be or how you could resolve this issue. Are you on your home Internet Connection, or using a work/office network which may have some sort of cache/proxy implanted?
Unfortunately I don’t think this is something I can help with 🙁
Are you using any caching plugins or is your site hosted with WP Engine?

In reply to: [Expire Users] Email Notifications and Expiration TimezoneThe timezone issue should be fixed now in version 0.7
Please post a new thread if you continue to have issues with that version.@ralf

In reply to: [Expire Users] Only User role can change upon expiration – Please replyIn the latest version there is an option to “remove expiry details and allow user to continue to login”.
If you select that as well as changing role, would that achieve what you’re looking for.

@iigor The plugin uses an hourly cron job to expiry users so there could be an hour window of overlap where the user is not expired.
I’ve added a ticket to check that when a user tries to login they won’t be able to during this window.
This post is a bit cluttered now with various topics so please post a new thread if you have any further issues.

In reply to: [Expire Users] Email Notifications and Expiration TimezoneSorry, I completely missed this thread.
Please download and try this version of the plugin which uses the WordPress current_time() function.
Please let me know if this fixes the issue for you.

Are you using the most recent version of the Password Protected plugin?
Yes, it’s different. You can’t install plugins on a WordPress.com site. Find out more here…
@ecdoesit Unfortunately this plugin doesn’t work on WP Engine as mentioned in the plugin description as the WP Engine has in-built caching.
Do you see the plugins option on the left at all?
If not you either do not have full administration access to your site or perhaps your site is hosted with WordPress.com or another host.
Did someone set your WordPress site up for you?
What version of WordPress are you using?
There is no way to do this at present. There are hooks and filters in place that could be used to provide this functionality with further development.
