Readme.txt file in the Cptcha updated folder suggests it is version 4.4.5 as of 12.12.2017
As a result of that auto-update (assume done by WordPress plug-in team) – I were unable to get into the DashBoard menus
Resolved by deleting captcha folder on site via FTP.
