I mean the “Points for daily visits” hook.
Sorry, completely realised that this was only an array when I tried to echo it.
Please ignore 🙂
Thank you. I have two quick questions:
1. What is “Manual Adjustment by Admin”?
2. We have a few custom hooks that award users based on other achievements than the ones that comes with the core myCred install, like getting points for having content featured etc
Is there any way to easily integrate those custom hooks into badges so that, for example, if the user gets 5 posts featured, they will get a badge?
What is the best way to approach this?
Installed and works great so far. We have a huge userbase so I will know by tomorrow if there are any further bugs.
Thank you for your hard work.
@gabriel I followed your instructions and it crashed my wp-admin area. White screen. Very likely an error that I could not see. Luckily I backed up the previous version and uploaded the old files back and it is working again.
Because this was on a live site, I didn’t have a chance to properly find out what the cause of the problem was (I think errors are disabled in our production site).
If you have the time, I would strongly suggest that you try the current version and see if it actually works, I would not be surprised if you get the same issue.
PS. The plugin probably works for marcobiscaro2112 because he adjusted the code manually and didn’t download/replaced the plugin folder…
Thank you both for the updates.
I would like to implement this but I want to avoid delving into the code. What would be the best way to implement these changes? Deactivate plugin, copy & paste replace plugin files, reactivate plugin?
Also, the “For” drop-down list is empty, probably a result of that warning…?
You can as of 1.5 award points once a day for visits.
Is 1.5 the next stable version to be released? And do you mean, once per day like daily points? Or points for logging in (which is currently available)…?
Thank you. Will the
mycred_get_users_credfunction work as it should on the next update?Thank you for the response, but your solution is not using the function which should work. I think instead of a workaround like the one you have posted, it would be better to find out why the function itself is not working as it should, or if there is a problem with the code that I posted.
Is the plugin developer around?

In reply to: [WP Admin Microblog] Browser compatibility issuesThanks for the CSS fix, I will give it a go and report back. Will iPads and other tablets use the “mobile” class? If so, then this should definitely work.
Regarding the IE9 bug, yes, this is very strange. Can you find a way to access the error log? This way, we should determine what is going on. Alternatively, I suggest posting how you call your scripts (or the content of them) over to stackoverflow.com – there are some people that have great experience with IE that may spot the issue.

In reply to: [WP Admin Microblog] Possible to change the ordering of posts?Yep that covered it, thank you very much. Hopefully there will not be any further drastic bugs but we will keep you informed.
With that being said though, there has been a “bug” that we have been seeing ever since we started to use this plugin. I will open a new thread for it so others may contribute to the discussion. This is not at all a drastic bug but I though maybe you want to know about it regardless.

In reply to: [WP Admin Microblog] Possible to change the ordering of posts?Thank you for that confirmation. We managed to perform the upgrade smoothly, however, there appears to be a bug, do the following to recreate it:
1. Create a new post and make two replies to it using the same account.
2. Then delete one of the replies, the page will of course refresh and it will appear that the reply is deleted because it is not showing up. But please refresh the page again and you will see that the reply is still there.
Currently, there is no way to properly delete replies.
I tested this in our production site (which uses a heavy configured version of this plugin) and also on a fresh install of WP, same issue.

In reply to: [WP Admin Microblog] Possible to change the ordering of posts? That was quick! Before I carry on with this upgrade, can you kindly demonstrate how I can set the parameters for WPAM_DEFAULT_SORT_ORDER in wp-config.php?
I just want to make sure I have all my grounds covered before I upgrade!
