Yes, I just tried to edit the field using Firefox and was successful! Then, when I returned to Chrome, I found that I can now edit there as well (on various pages’ Yoast SEO fields).
It is strange to me that I was originally unable to type into any of these fields in Chrome (version 66) after trying multiple times (and on a couple of other sites I ran in the past using v60+ and WP 4.6-8). Even if there is a “conflict” of some kind on my machine, I would still ask someone to look into it as it could be more common than you think.
Thanks.
Are you referring to the “SEO title” field in my screenshot? As I mentioned, it is deactivated/ disabled, so I am not able to overwrite that content.
Hi, I’d like to post a screenshot of my admin, but don’t see any option to do that here.
It is indeed a static page, and in the Yoast SEO box I click on “Edit Snippet” and it reveals an “SEO Title” field with a pre-populated string of variables:
%%title%% %%page%% %%sep%% %%sitename%%
It is greyed out, so I’m not able to edit it.
