Matt,
THe patch fixed the problem of asking for credit card. However on completion of donation it goes to the standard DOnation COnfirmation page which has give_receipt shortcode in it.
That page now shows a message saying you are missing the donation id to view this donation receipt.
We did not change anything on this page at all, it has been the default page for a year now.
