This seems to also be related to PolyLang translation. After duplicating (by hand – please create a duplicate feature!) the galleries with their appropriate translated name manually and adding them to a new translated album, all images are now showing again.
So clunky. It shouldn’t be this hard.
You can mark this closed as I’ve resolved my own issue.
Okay, I did a lot of search of the community and it looks like this has been an issue for many years that FooGallery is blaming PolyLang for and the simplest solution is to duplicate galleries (in multiple languages) and just add the same images to all versions.
Fine. But please add a duplicate option for galleries. This would streamline that effort SO much.
I now need to create 50 galleries by hand (I have 25 actual galleries but need to do this 2x for the other 2 languages).
Hi Elviiso.
So, the reason why I believe this is a FooGallery issue is because PolyLang is working with all of my other pages, posts, plugins (such as ME Calendar, Give Donation, etc.) and gives me options for each of my three languages. However, FooGallery does not.
I took a look at the links and my issue is FooGallery translations are not properly showing up ‘out of box’. Only like 6 exist.
I did install TTfP and while it did pull in the rest of translations for FooGallery, it doesn’t seem to show my gallery names and I can’t seem to add manual translations.
I suppose I could reach out to PolyLang but they may tell me it’s an issue with the plugin.
What I would hope FooGallery would allow me to do (notice the flags – when I change my site to that respective language, it loads that respective page):

What I actually see:

I would even manually make a new album if I could just duplicate the galleries but to do that for 10, 20, 30 albums is a lot of work. A duplicate option would be super welcome.
I’ll reach out to PolyLang but I am not optimistic. Please let me know if there is anything else that can be done from FooGalleries side to get this done more efficiently vs manually creating multiple language galleries by hand.
Perfect, that CSS worked a treat and yes, it is probably the Chapel Theme but appreciate your quick response to resolve that for me.
Thank you. That seemed to help. I went with 15px. However, one remaining issue as far as ‘look’: on mobile it seems to cut off the gallery name. How can I make it properly align or wrap?
As far as translations; I do have Polylang installed. For Posts and Pages, I have columns in those sections for each language but for FooGallery, I do not have those options. Any ideas on how I would go about doing that correctly? I only see a few pre-determined translations in Polylang for FooGallery.
Thank you. I will give that a try.
One of the threads got locked which is why I created a duplicate. Thought it might not have gone through.
EDIT:
That was it. I disabled that feature and it works. Thank you very much!
