Does that help narrowing down the problem?

In reply to: Edit page and new page is blankThank you! How do you create a new .htaccess file and how to install it? And, where to do I increase PFP memory limit.
Starting a couple of days ago when I try to edit an existing page the visual button doesn’t work. If I highlight the page to be edited, all is see is code. If I hit the text button, I get the same situation, only code if highlighted. I’ve disabled all or selected plugins and switched themes and no change. If I try to create a new page, I have the same problem. I can only see what I’ve typed if I highlight the textbox. This happens if I use classic or block editor.

In reply to: upload files/folders from serverI have uploaded “Add From Server” plugin and when I activate it I receive the error message: “This plugin requires WordPress 4.0 or greater, and PHP 5.4 or greater. You are currently running WordPress 4.7.1 and PHP 5.3.28. Please contact your website host or server administrator for more information. The plugin has been deactivated.” I contacted EarthLink and they said they plan to update. Is there another plugin with a lower PHP requirement? Or, do you have any further thoughts of something that might work?
