if your value is stored in database( in wp_post and wp_postmeta table) you can recover tabs but if it is not stored you have to recreate tabs again .

its not possible due to updating wordpress , but may be this occurs due to some plugin confliction so if your value is stored in database you can recover tabs (check that data in wp_post and wp_postmeta table in database)but if it is not stored you have to recreate tabs again .
