    Hi Mateusz,

Thank you very much for your detailed explanation.

As you can imagine, the websites that truly require image optimization are usually the ones with a large number of media files — like the one I’m currently working on.

In the plugin interface, I can see the number of images per folder under the /uploads directory, but unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be an option to select specific directories for optimization. It appears that the plugin only allows me to optimize the entire uploads folder, without the ability to exclude certain years or folders.

Would it be possible to consider adding this feature in a future update?

In our case, the website contains images dating back to 2003, but only the last three years of content are still relevant and frequently visited. If directory-level selection was available, I could optimize just the recent images — staying within our license quota and focusing on what really matters.

Also, while we are aware that WordPress generates multiple image sizes for each uploaded file, we estimated our optimization needs based on the number of items shown in the Media Library — which was around 42,000. So the total count of over 365,000 images reported by the plugin was unexpectedly high, and it significantly impacted our license tier decision.

Thank you again for your time and consideration.

    Best regards,

    IPS Support
