In reply to: [Open Graph Protocol Framework] strip shortcodesHi, thanks for sharing that – this can make sense in some cases, maybe it’s worth looking at adding an option on an individual post basis. In general I think we need to have them rendered though.

In reply to: [Groups] Restrict Posts By group nameHi,
Currently the restrictions are based on capabilities although what you suggest (basing it on groups) is more intuitive and it’s the model used for Groups 2.x which is already in development.
Anyhow, regarding the current model and you question … if you only want users in your group01 to be able to read a post, then you would have to use a capability which is exclusive to group01. You can’t use cap1 because group03 also has that and the same applies to ‘read’. What you can do is use an additional capability for group01 exclusively:
group01 – read, cap1, cap2, cap0
group02 – cap2, cap3
group03 – read, cap1You must create cap0 and assign it to group01 and also enable it for access restriction for this.

In reply to: [Groups] User Links on SearchHi,
Thanks for the update on that, please let me know what you find out – I’ve seen your topic yesterday and did a quick test to see if that happened on a test site but it didn’t, although the user base was rather small on that installation.
Do you have any other plugins installed that might be adding to the admin URL on the Users screen?

In reply to: [Widgets Control] Can't get it to work on one of the BuddyPress-widgetsHi,
I’ve just tried it on a test site and don’t get the same thing. I’ve placed the “(BuddyPress) Recently Active Members” and chose “Show on all except these pages” and indicated [front] – it’s not showing on the front page and does show on other pages as expected. So I don’t think this is a conflict with this plugin and BP but rather something else … have you tried to enable debugging and try setting this to see if anything shows up in the debug.log? It sounds like something is getting in between while you try to save the settings.

In reply to: [Affiliates] Shortcode Not WorkingHi,
Do you have caching enabled for users who are logged in? You would need to exclude the pages where dynamic information like that produces by the shortcodes is displayed.
@hq-pier If you are using the same shortcodes and experience the same issue, the above also applies. Otherwise please post a new topic detailing your particular shortcode usage and which issues you need help with.

In reply to: [Groups] Enabling plugin adds Link Manager to admin menuHi,
You probably have admin override enabled. Go to Groups > Options and disable it there, the links section should disappear.

In reply to: [Groups] Disabling direct URL access to the shop page isn't workingHi,
You can protect your products using Groups’ access restrictions and you can also protect the whole shop page as described e.g. here http://www.itthinx.com/2013/02/12/how-to-hide-the-woocommerce-shop-page/
Does that help?
