Try the usual process and disable other plugins except Groups, then enable others individually until it stops working and you have the conflicting plugin.
Also note that there are no ‘regular WP user groups’ – what you are referring to are *roles*, not groups.
Marking as resolved as this is not an issue that occurs with Groups itself.

You need to assign that capability to a group and enable it for access restriction in Groups > Options. To be allowed to apply the capability, you must also belong to a group that has the capability.
Or you can use the quick-create field.

In the Examples section it is shown how to check for group membership, that method can be used in a template to show content conditionally.

In reply to: [Affiliates] Day, Week not workingI would not recommend to touch the dates of the referrals themselves. In fact, there is an adjustment between server-user dates done automatically, so if there’s anything that does not fit what we would expect, we might be up to a bug.
I’ll leave this topic open for review meanwhile (need to take a closer look to make sure whether there is a bug or not).
