In reply to: [Decent Comments] For multisite? To be honest I’ve never tried it but of course it would be great to have it working that way. I’ve taken note of it, but if you are in the position to contribute modifications to make it work, please feel free to get in touch, I’d be happy to include them. Otherwise I’ll get to it when I’ve got a spare moment.

In reply to: [Affiliates] Affiliate passwordThere are several use cases where it makes sense to have an affiliate account that is not related to a user account, among them is using a pseudo-affiliate as a means of tracking the performance of an ad-campaign.

In reply to: [Affiliates] Affiliate passwordSee Adding a new affiliate in the documentation – affiliate accounts and user accounts are different entities that can be related but don’t have to be.

In reply to: [Affiliates] It did not work for me, and poor customer serviceWhen Affiliates or an existing integration with Affiliates doesn’t work as expected, from experience 99.99% it is due to
Something in your setup or server environment is definitely interfering with the normal operation of the system.
What happens is that when you choose not to follow the indications, it’s impossible to help further or detect the cause.
If you would like to comment on what you had detected, please post details about your setup on the appropriate page, which in this case would be here.
Just posting a negative review on a plugin that works perfectly fine doesn’t do any good at all.

In reply to: [Affiliates] using on site without shopping cartYou have several possibilities, for example:
- using the API you can record a referral when the payment is issued
- with the latest version you can also create the referral manually
- if you are using PayPal to issue the payments there is an integration with Affiliates Pro
I’m also considering adding notification URLs to make general integrations easier, but that possibility hasn’t been added yet.

In reply to: [Affiliates] It did not work for me, and poor customer service@j_manuel Your review is not based on this plugin but on an integration with Contact Form 7.
ww.wp.xz.cn is simply not the place to discuss the particular problems you raise.

In reply to: [Affiliates] It did not work for me, and poor customer serviceYour review of the Affiliates plugin is based on your particular experience, on your site & setup, with Affiliates Pro and its integration with Contact Form 7 – not the Affiliates plugin itself, what this review should have been about.
That said, the following was indicated to you, upon which you simply decided to abandon the idea – after having people look at your site, run tests, etc. :
Checked the site, works ok except affiliates are not recognized even though the cookie is there. Something in your setup or server environment is definitely interfering with the normal operation of the system.
If it helps, I would look for anything that might interfere with cookies, one way to figure out what’s causing this is to create a test site based on default theme with only the Affiliates Pro plugin, the integration plugin and CF7. Make a first test to make sure that the referrals for affiliates work when a form is submitted. Then change to the theme you are using, repeat referral test. If it works, ok, continue adding plugins. At some point it must stop to work and credit the referrals to Direct instead of the referring affiliate.
