It worked!
Thanks @adamdunnage , I’m all set now.Hi @jamesosborne, thanks for getting back to me!
I have tried to activate it once more, but I still get the same error;
“The request to the authentication proxy has failed with an error: a site with the given URL already exists Get help.”On the dashboard, I can see the banner that says;
“Site Kit by Google: Looks like the URL of your site has changed. In order to continue using Site Kit, you’ll need to reconnect, so that your plugin settings are updated with the new URL.
– Old URL: https://urbaneffect.net/
– New URL: https://www.urbaneffect.net
Reconnect. Get help“
And when I click the “Reconnect” link, I get the same error as above.Thanks for the prompt response @jamesosborne!
- I have filled the information using the form provided
- I didn’t change the wp-admin path, and I don’t recall there being any difference with the site URL or WordPress file directory. Yes! I am using the standard wp-admin path.
- The URL I land back on when attempting setup is: https://www.urbaneffect.net/wp-admin/index.php?action=googlesitekit_proxy_setup_start&nonce=4032efcf52
