It’s certainly not limited to just one or two people. I’m pretty surprised no one is getting back to us about this.

One other thing – just in case this info helps… I just copied the database of the site where it didn’t work over to the database of the site where it did work, and that site stopped working after I did that! So it leads me to think it’s something in the database. One difference between the two sites was the plugins I had installed. So I thought maybe it was a plugin. So I deactivated all the plugins (on the site where it used to work before I copied the bad database over) and that didn’t have any effect.
And yes, I’m really surprised no one here has any idea about this. I’ve seen many other people mention that they were having this same problem. Thanks for posting your latest info Shazzle!
Is anybody having the problem with the flash uploader (or html uploader for that matter), where after you upload an image and click INSERT INTO POST the upload window just turns white and nothing is inserted into the post – although the image did get uploaded to the server?

The analytics code is in the index.php file – above the area where the php starts. I did remove it though and removed ShareIt too… but still same problem – blank white screen after clicking “Insert Into Post”.
I’ve also tried removing ALL the plugins, and that didn’t do anything either.

In reply to: Image uploader isn’t workingShazzleBee – EXACTLY same problem here. The images do get uploaded and they are there and you can view them through the uploader… you just can’t insert them into the article.
The really frustrating thing for me is that it works fine on another site that is an exact copy of this site and on the same server!

In reply to: Image uploader isn’t workingI’m having the problem in 2.7 where the uploader screen just turns white right after I click on Insert Image. And it doesn’t insert the image.
I’ve re-uploaded the wp files and that didn’t help. I also have an exact copy of this site running under a different domain on the same server and the image uploader works fine there. But not on this one – and I copied all the files to here directly from the other domain.

I’ve been using Joomla for a long time, and then for a client was just asked to put up a WordPress site. I was blown away by how much you could do in WordPress that was like content management of Joomla… but it was so much easier to do!
I’m still not sure how much control I have over the various aspects of the site and it still feels a little wobbly (like learning how to ride a bike)… but I’m definitely impressed with its potential in building just straight out web sites. Oh and the cool thing – since the blogging is built in and is becoming so darn popular – if you want to add a blog to a portion of the site – seems like that’d be a cinch!

In reply to: Image uploader problems with 2.7Did any of you guys ever resolve this issue? I’m having the same issue where the upload screen goes blank when I click Insert Image. And then it just freezes there. When I close it, the image isn’t inserted.
It’s not the theme though because I have an identical site running on the same server and it works fine! I actually copied this site directly over to my new site – database and everything. Made the necessary changes for it being on a different domain. Everything works fine… except this. But the image uploader still works perfectly on the old site. It doesn’t make any sense.
Really surprised nobody at WordPress seems to have any idea.
