I’ll wait until WordPress 4.9 gets released before making more substantial changes then. * How much wider of a sidebar are we getting, is it still adjustable to the size it is now? * As for those custom CSS changes, I’ve been using the Additional CSS field to make changes rather than the Entry Title CSS field, I didn’t even notice that one, and didn’t know about those specific elements. I’d recommend making sure to post in your specific threads to get that support then, it could be that your issues differ from the rest of the users and would be best voiced there as they may be specific to your servers, your WP builds, your PHP versions, your update paths, things of that nature. I’m not running any of the plugins that the theme suggests, just a clean install, and that worked fine. It worked both with and without the automatic color scheme system (I prefer without, but the update had it set to default on).
